Jaime Newsom, also owner and lead designer for SB brings more than 12 years of corporate event planning and wedding coordinating experience to the team. She was the founder and owner of Elegant Event Planners, formerly one of Memphis' leading wedding and event planning companies. With the birth of Social Butterflies, LLC, and a new partnership, she dissolved her business under the name EEP to form a larger firm specializing in weddings and corporate events. Jaime was also the founder and owner of Savannah Woods Plantation, a wedding and reception site, she operated until March of 2005. Prior to Savannah Woods Plantation she worked five years for the CEO and CFO of Global Materials Services, a Belz Enterprise company, as their Executive Assistant. She organized their Board Meetings, Shareholder Meetings, Christmas Parties, Business Luncheons and the CEO's West Point College Reunion in Colorado Springs, CO.

Jaime's desire to make clients happy and excited about events has won her high regards and an excellent reputation. She is known for her devotion and dedication to clients and has a fun loving personality that is contagious. With a resume consisting of more than 300- planned weddings, it's hard to prove she is not the best in her field! She is renowned for her personal attention to detail and top-notch service. Her diplomatic way of handling any situation comes with reserved professionalism as she leads in the planning and production of each special event. Some of her more notable events include: the wedding for esteemed Memphis Community Leader Phil Chamberlain of Chamberlain & McCreery to Trina Getske and the wedding of Jacksonville Jaguar's Defensive Tackle, John Henderson to Aleviar Canley. She has also planned events nationally (St. Louis, MO, Phoenix, AZ, Louisville, KY and Houston, TX) for Conde' Nast Media Group.

To ensure that her clients receive the latest cutting edge trends, Jaime remains actively involved in the special events industry with continuing education conferences and conventions each year.

She is a member of The Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC), a member of Tennessee Weddings, Special Events Association (TWSEA) and a member of the National Association of Catering Executives (NACE). She has served on the board of NACE for the past two years as the Fundraiser/Gala Chairman and currently the Hospitality Chair.
